Accommodation during a Tanzania Safari Holiday

Accommodation during a Tanzania Safari Holiday

When you arrive to Tanzania for an epic Tanzania Safari holiday with Kili Footprints, you may have a rest on 3 star, 4 star or 5-star hotel. If you are coming for the northern Tanzania Safari you may choose your accommodation before Safari in Arusha or Moshi town.

Now; what may worry you is accommodation during your Safari in Tanzania.

Camping or Lodge Based Safaris! What You Need to Know?

Tanzania safari accommodation during your safari varies depending on their level of Comfortability. Most of your choices may fall into budget, mid-range and luxury accommodation. Best and enjoyable safari, we recommend choosing either mid-range or luxury accommodation, but this should be if you can manage the cost. This is the vital point because, after a long dusty road, one will need a cool oasis of a mid-range or luxury accommodation to make your stay another level of best experience. Here one can enjoy watching the African animals come and go from the bar, a cocktail at hand reach. We are carefully choosing the lodges and camps for you, but if you have own preferences, then we can modify the accommodations according to your wishes!

  • Luxury Accommodation

It’s quite literally the 5-star treatment in the heart of the bush; everything from private en-suite bathrooms with hot showers to gourmet meals, swimming pools, and lavish lounges. AQ Tours & Safaris selects the best-tented camps for our safari packages. Tented camps on decks are designed to blend seamlessly with nature and to leave only a minimal footprint in sensitive eco-systems. Camps are placed strategically in game parks for the best wildlife viewing while offering comfortable and luxurious accommodation.

  • Mid-range

These semi-luxury camping safaris are for those who like their space and privacy but can do without the higher end fixings.

Mid-range camping tents are dome-shaped walk-in canvas tents with separate private facilities (toilet and bucket showers) al fresco style. These tents are furnished with comfortable camp beds with a mattress, sleeping bag and pillow, and stool for a lamp. You are well looked after by a cook and a guide/driver, and enjoy private use of the wilderness campsites in the conservation areas. Three delicious meals are prepared for you daily by your cook, with beautiful fresh ingredients that are simmered in a cast iron pot over coals, to be enjoyed under the canopy of stars. Camping equipment is transported by a towed trailer. Luggage space is limited. A backpack or duffel bag of 15 kg per person is allowed.

  • Budget Camping

This is a comfortable, small walk-in tent at carefully chosen public bush campsites, both within and outside the National Parks and Game Reserves. Roll-out mats and pillows are provided, and camp beds on request can be supplied.

You are accompanied by a driver/guide, and by a cook, who will set up the camp and prepare three excellent meals a day, using fresh ingredients prepared on coals, and enjoyed under the vast Africa skies. Camping equipment is transported on your safari vehicle. Luggage space is limited. A backpack or duffel bag of 15 kg per person is allowed.
