Lake Jipe Located between Kenya and Tanzania borders 65 Km about 2 hours drive passing Mwanga town. The lake is famous to have huge number of Hippos and crocodile best time is around June to August.
Lake Jipe receive its main water flow from Mt. Kilimanjaro with other several streams passing through Kenya. Apart from its main habitat of Hippos and crocodile zebra can spotted from the area while villagers benefits from Finishing with small boats.
Lake Jipe size is 12km long and 2.5km wide which make inter- territorial lake stands between two countries. On this day trip to Lake Jipe its recommended to start early in the morning from Moshi or Arusha town by 2-3 hours of drive which takes you to off beaten roads near pare mountains.
